Los Angeles, CA — On May Over thirty representatives from over a dozen local chapters of the ANC met at the ANCA-WR Headquarters to discuss the accomplishments and goals of the organization during a Strategic Roundtable Meeting. During the meeting the local chapters updated one another and the Regional Board on specific methods and strategies they were using to advance Armenian Issues and raise public awareness about Armenians and Armenia in their respective chapters. The key topics of discussion included House Resolution 193, which commemorates the 15th anniversary of the adoption of the Proxmire Act with specific mention of the Armenian Genocide and was introduced in the 108th Congress.
ANCA-WR Board Members Garo Ispendjian and Keri Terterian organized the Round Table in order to coordinate the activities of the local chapters and “maximize the efficiency of the grassroots.”
ANC Chapters that were present included Burbank, Crescenta Valley-Foothills, Fresno-Central California, The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) is the largest and most influential Armenian American grassroots political organization. Working in coordination with a network of offices, chapters, and supporters throughout the United States and affiliated organizations around the world, the ANCA actively advances the concerns of the Armenian American community on a broad range of issues.
