Capitol Candlelight and Indoor Program:
– In Observance of the International Day for all Genocide victims
– In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the genocidal destruction of Djulfa khachkars
– In conclusion of the Centennial Year of the Armenian Genocide
The event will start at the Capitol Khachkar and continue inside the First Baptist Church of Denver. Reception to follow.
The event is organized by Armenians of Colorado, Inc. (AOC) in partnership with the Consulate of Armenia in Los Angeles, Armenian National Committee of America – Colorado, Colorado Coalition for Genocide Awareness & Action, and Djulfa Virtual Memorial and Museum. Master of Ceremonies is Andrew Romanoff, former Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives.
Special guests include former Governor Richard Lamm, Office of Congressman Mike Coffman, Senate Minority Leader Morgan Carroll, Consul General of Armenia Sergey Sarkisov, and ANCA Western Region Executive Director Elen Asatryan.
