A 45-candidate primary slate across California and Nevada, plus an additional general election endorsement in Texas
The Armenian National Committee of America, Western Region (ANCA-WR) has announced its 2026 endorsements. The 45-candidate primary slate covers federal, state, county, and local offices across California and Nevada. ANCA-WR has additionally endorsed Tano Tijerina in Texas’s 28th Congressional District for the November 3, 2026 general election, where he will face Congressional Azerbaijan Caucus Co-Chair Henry Cuellar.

For more than a century, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) has fought to uplift the needs of the Armenian community. Throughout my career, I have been proud to stand alongside them in their fight for recognition and justice. Under my leadership, the County has declared April as Armenian History Month and April 24 as Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day to celebrate the diaspora’s contributions to the County and ensure that history is never forgotten. I was honored to help establish the permanent Armenian Genocide memorial in Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles and celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the Armenian Holy Cross Cathedral in Montebello. I am proud to have the endorsement of ANCA Western Region, and look forward to our continued partnership to advocate on behalf of Armenian-Americans nationwide.
— Hilda Solis

Note: Texas’s primary has already concluded. Tijerina’s endorsement is for the November 3, 2026 general election.

It is an honor to earn the endorsement of ANCA-WR. Representing Little Armenia means fighting every day for a community with deep roots, cultural pride, and a long history of resilience. I remain committed to standing with Armenian families, protecting Armenian small businesses and institutions, confronting Armenophobia and genocide denial, and advocating for justice and human rights for Armenians everywhere — from Los Angeles to Artsakh and Armenia.
