Glendale, CA – The Armenian National Committee of American – Western Region (ANCA-WR) applauds the hard fought victory of its endorsed candidates who won in the June 5 presidential primary. The ANCA-WR is pleased to report that 100 percent of its endorsed U.S. Congressional candidates won in their new districts. Overall, seventeen of its nineteen endorsed candidates won in the primary election. The ANCA-WR extends their congratulations to the endorsed candidates for California State Assembly. After a long and arduous election process, Adrin Nazarian was victorious in the newly created 46th Assembly District primary race. Running in the 41st Assembly District, Chris Holden, and running for reelection, Katcho Achadjian, in a redistricted 35th Assembly District, gained the majority of the vote in their respective districts. Greg Krikorian, who ran in the 43rd Assembly District, will move forward to the general election as will Tom Calderon of the 58th Assembly District. The ANCA-WR looks forward to seeing these candidates achieve victory in the general election in November.
