2011 CA State Capitol Armenian Genocide Commemoration and Advocacy Day

Join the Armenian National Committee of America–Western Region for our annual Armenian Genocide Commemoration Ceremonies and Advocacy Day!

SEE BELOW FOR SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The Armenian Genocide will be commemorated in both the California State Senate and Assembly during which the Legislature will vote on Assembly Joint Resolution 2, the 2011 Armenian Genocide resolution. This resolution is jointly authored by California State Assembly Member Anthony Portantino (D-Pasadena) and freshman Assembly Member Katcho Achadjian (R-San Luis Obispo).

During our Advocacy Day we will be discussing key concerns of the Armenian-American community with CA legislators. This is both an important and great opportunity for young Armenian-Americans to be involved in current political issues in their state of California.

We would love as for as many Armenian-Americans to join our efforts and attend this event!

If you plan on attending, please fill out this form so we are able to better coordinate the event: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dE9DdDczVU15SEJKWVZXNFM5THNqa2c6MQ
