Edward A. Barsoumian serves as ANCA-WR Government Affairs Coordinator, executing the legislative strategy of the ANCA-WR, and cultivating meaningful relationships between the organization and officials. In this role, he oversees government and policy research, liaises with legislators and special interest groups to advocate for and advance important Armenian policy initiatives, tracks elections, and spearheads advocacy efforts with officials at all levels of government.

Barsoumian graduated Cum Laude and with two departmental honors from the University of La Verne, where he double-majored in International Studies and Criminology. He also completed a special topics program, and a certification course in Faith-Based Peacebuilding from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is also a confirmed member of Phi Alpha Theta (National History Honors Society). Prior to this position, Barsoumian worked with private investigators specializing in wrongful conviction cases in the California judicial system, and interned with other Armenian-American advocacy organizations in Washington, DC.
