Edward A. Barsoumian serves as ANCA-WR Coalition and Community Development Director, developing and cultivating the organization’s relationships with Armenian and non-Armenian communities and organizations to advance Hye Tahd across the Western United States. Before assuming this role, Barsoumian served as ANCA Western Region’s Government Affairs Coordinator, where he executed the legislative strategy of the ANCA-WR, and cultivated meaningful relationships between the organization and public officials. 

Barsoumian graduated Cum Laude and with two departmental honors from the University of La Verne, where he double-majored in International Studies and Criminology. He also completed a special topics program and a certification course in Faith-Based Peacebuilding from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is also a confirmed member of Phi Alpha Theta (National History Honors Society). Prior to this position, Barsoumian worked with private investigators specializing in wrongful conviction cases in the California judicial system, and interned with other Armenian-American advocacy organizations in Washington, DC.
