Alex Galitsky is Communications Director of the ANCA-WR. In his role, Galitsky oversees the organization’s communications strategy, public relations, and media outreach. He also leads theĀ Impact Media Institute, an upcoming initiative aimed at combating and confronting genocide denial in the world today.

Alex Galitsky was born and raised in Australia, graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences with First Class Honors in Government Affairs and International Relations.

Prior to joining the ANCA-WR, Galitsky worked across a range of fields in the space of government relations, community outreach, and human rights research. He has previously worked at the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) specializing in government relations, as well as for a member of the Australian Federal Parliament working in the space of community outreach.

In 2018, Galitsky spent 6 months in Armenia, working on a range of government initiatives including with the Ministry of Diaspora in the space of international development, as well as civil society organizations including the Union of Informed Citizens (UIC) and Transparency International Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Center (TIAC) on anti-corruption and electoral reform.

In 2019, Galitsky participated in the ANCA’s Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway Fellowship Program in Washington DC, working as a research associate for three months with Amnesty International USA in the Middle East and North Africa division. He has also previously interned with Human Rights Watch Australia.
