ANCA-WR Candidate Questionnaire

The Armenian National Committee of America- Western Region requests every candidate who wishes to participate in the candidate evaluation process to submit a completed background information form and questionnaire prior to his/her interview with the evaluation committee.

A copy of this form will be provided to each member of the Candidate Evaluation Committee in preparation for your interview. Candidate responses may also be made available to the general public prior to elections.

    The Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region (ANCA-WR) is the largest and most influential Armenian American grassroots advocacy organization in the Western United States.

    Turkey denies both truth and justice for the Armenian Genocide, Ottoman Turkey’s systematic and deliberate massacre of 1.5 million Armenians and other Christians between 1915-1923.
  • Self-Determination for Nagorno Karabagh

    The people of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic have built a democratic, free-market oriented society, overcoming the brutal legacy of Stalin’s arbitrary decision to place Karabagh under Soviet Azerbaijani administration, and, more recently, independent Azerbaijan’s campaign of blockades, ethnic cleansing, and outright military aggression. There is a sizable refugee population in California who have escaped the numerous pogroms by the Azerbaijani government.

    The Armenian-American community has had a presence in the United States since the latter part of the 19th century. Armenian-Americans are civically engaged and contribute to the overall success of our State and Nation.
